# Moon filter

Also called: neutral density filter, ND filter.

A neutral grey filter that dims the dazzling Moon for comfortable viewing.

Near full Moon a big telescope's view can be uncomfortably bright. A neutral-density or variable polarising filter cuts the glare without changing colours. High magnification does the same job by dimming the image.
